Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)

The accumulation of fat in the liver, which may be due to multiple causes. Initially, this is a benign condition, but, it may progress to an inflammatory process called Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) that can lead to liver damage.
